Girls with Guns Partners to Help Families in Need
August 02, 2017

Girls with Guns® Clothing (GWG) is proud to announce it is again sponsoring the Kids & Clays Foundation, a national non-profit association which helps fund Ronald McDonald House Charities® through shooting events. For the last two years, GWG® has been honored to donate a full set of shooting gear to each of the 21 Kids & Clays supported sporting clay events as well as nine National Sporting Clays Association, National Skeet Shooting Association and Amateur Trapshooting Association events where Kids & Clays is the charity of choice for those shoots.

The partnership began in late 2015 when Zac Lemmon, newly appointed Kids & Clays program director, let GWG know about his new position. Jen O’Hara and Norissa Harman, GWG co-founders, had the opportunity to get to know Zac during his previous career and were very excited to hear about his new endeavor. Supporting youth in the outdoors has always been an essential part of GWG®'s mission, and after learning more about how the funds raised at Kids & Clays shoots go to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities®, GWG saw how its values closely align with Kids & Clays and wanted to help out in any way it could.

For the last two years, GWG has supported the mission of Kids & Clays through product donations, social media exposure, and in-person engagements with our Team GWG pro staff, who've been able to attend three of the local California shoots.  The company is very proud to be a small part of helping to keep families close to their critically ill children during a time when they need it the most.

To better align both organizations, CEO and co-founder Jen O'Hara has also joined the Kids & Clays Board of Directors.

“I am very proud to have the opportunity to join the leadership of this tremendous organization,” said O’Hara. “By harnessing the engagement and recognition of the women shooters segment, I truly believe Girls with Guns® Clothing will be able to positively impact the growth of Kids & Clays through the relationships we have developed in the outdoor and shooting industry.”

You can do your part to support the Kids & Clays Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities® by either attending one of the 21 shooting events in 2017 (find the schedule here), becoming a national or regional sponsor, or through a product or monetary donation to help further Kids & Clays' efforts to support children and their families through shooting sport events nationwide.
